Super September Summit

On Sept 9 and 10, we get to “go” to a super September summit, EEI 2020. Sweet!

In the opening roundtable, we’ll see the CEOs of Con Ed, Xcel Energy, PECO, Pinnacle West, Portland General and Xcel Energy. In the closing roundtable, we’ll see the CEOs of Ameren, Edison International, Exelon, DTE Energy (actually he’s its executive chair), and Xcel Energy. Not too shabby for conference panels.

Yes, I know. Xcel’s CEO will be covering a lot of ground at this summit, as he’s participating in both the opening and closing discussions.

EEI 2020 will also have panels with the former heads of the Energy Department and EPA, and the president of the Environmental Defense Fund, to talk deep decarbonization (interesting how that topic keeps coming up), and then a top Republican and top Democrat duking it out — rhetorically of course — about the coming elections. Plus a ton of breakout sessions to choose from.

The best part? If EEI 2020 had taken place in Austin in June, which it didn’t because, well, you know why, the registration fee would have been considerable. But the Edison Electric Institute decided that EEI 2020’s fee will be virtual, as in, nothing. That should fit nicely into your budget.

Have a super September. Register at eei.org.
