Parsing the PUF Pulse of Power Poll

Of the twelve questions in this year’s PUF Pulse of Power, I breezed through the last three, questions ten, eleven and twelve.

Question ten was, how likely will companies from other industries invade ours? I said it’s unlikely oil, telecom, Internet, auto companies will make much of an inroad. How about you? What did you say when you filled out the survey?

What? You haven’t yet filled out the survey? The link below takes you straight to the PUF Pulse of Power.

Question eleven was, rate utilities’ potential to grow revenues and customer value in electrification of transportation, energy storage, renewables, DG. I rated the potential real high for these, but low in transactive energy, blockchain, Internet of Things. How about you? What did you say when you filled out the survey?

Question twelve was, which give utilities the best ways to prepare for sustained growth? I gave high scores to digitization, decarbonization, electrification, smart cities, but low to buildings-to-grid, transportation-to-grid. How about you? What did you say when you filled out the survey?

As I wrote in last week’s columns, results will be written up in the June 15 special edition of the mag. We made this year’s survey super slick. Might take you two minutes to complete it. And yes, what you put down is a hundred percent confidential.
