Awesome February

I already know that February will be an awesome month.

If you’re at the California Public Utility Commission, I’ll see you there Feb 1. That’s our Day at the Cal PUC when we’ll be doing a ton of interviews and taking two tons of photos of the Commissioners and Staff.

On Thomas Edison’s Birthday, Feb 11, it’s time to kick off one of the must-be-there gatherings of the year in our industry, the NARUC Winter Meeting, in DC. Four of us from Fortnightly will be in attendance, Joe, Pat, Alexandra and yours truly. February’s Public Utilities Fortnightly and February’s PUF 2.0 will both be in your attendee bag.

With no time to catch your breath, the Energy Storage Association will run its annual Policy Forum on Feb 14, also in DC. The agenda ends mid-afternoon, if you have matters to attend to, later on Valentine’s Day.

Then there’s Wendell Willkie’s Birthday on Feb 18. Wendell was a giant of our industry – indeed, of our country – in the thirties and forties.

On Feb 25, I’m going to the Country Music Hall of Fame. Well, kinda. Not sure I’ll have the time to stop in. Actually, going to the NRECA Annual Meeting & Expo in Nashville. The bunch of interviews and photos from that trip will produce a huge feature in April’s Public Utilities Fortnightly highlighting cooperative power.

What a month! Plus, pitchers and catchers report on Feb 13.

For ninety years, since 1928, Public Utilities Fortnightly has served as the platform for thought leaders to impact the debate in utility regulation and policy. Join the debate. Have your organization join the debate, as a member of the PUF community.
